Victoria has been singing since the day she could string together notes. She was influenced by movies such as Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music and could sing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" by the age of 3, when she also started ballet and tap dancing lessons, followed by ballroom and Latin dancing later in her life.
No stranger to musical theatre, Victoria attended the Junior Music Choir programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and has been involved in over 100 productions around Asia, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics Torch Relay song, “Light the Passion, Share the Dream”.
Woohooo… Blush survived their first public performance last night :-D We were invited to the leaving party of Tony Tyler, CEO and Director of Cathay Pacific Airlines and soon to be Director General of IATA. He’ll be the 6th DG of IATA and the first from an Asian Airline! REPRESENT! We also enjoyed a lovely dinner with Tony’s friends in a lovely historical setting - Crown Wine Cellars. Previously a military site, this was the very last place in HK to fall to Japanese Rule, 27 Dec 1941, two days after the official surrender. We even had the privilege of Gregory De’Eb, CWCs co-founder to share it’s very moving WWII story with us. I’m not usually a history buff, but I’d sure love to hear more about my own heritage and courageous stories of all those who made the survival of HK a possibility. What if the past turned out differently, would HK be the same today?!
Maybe time for me to retire to my thinking box and love ya and leave ya with my history lesson of the week ;-D
Wrap up warm,
Love n Hugs
Yikes I think I’ve caught the Oscars bug.. Black Swan last week, The Kings Speech this weekend and hopefully True Grit next week :-D Looking forward to watch Hailee Steinfeld’s Oscar nominated performance. At 14, though filmed whilst 13years old - that’s an amazing achievement! Cant wait for the future flicks of this promising rising young star. Did you know that she also has Asian ancestry?! Her maternal grandfather is Filipino! Well that’s what I heard.. but if its true, that’s pretty cool.
Righto, enough from moi..
Have a great week y’all
Love n Hugs
Hey Ya’ll, Hope u all managed to catch some sun. See what I mean, its gone cooler again today..
Went to see Black Swan last night with my Blushies…Portmans performance was definitely Oscar worthy…King’s Speech up next inline
Also, Lil Ali moved in last night, looks like we’ll be havin slumber parties all week long ;-D Why do girls own so much stuff?? It's like unnecessary junk that we just cant live without. I better find a Mary Poppins bag before we start travelling.
Got to head to vocal class now. Gonna love ya and leave ya
What amazing weather this weekend, was great to catch some sun and breeze down at the beach. Will have to take the girls down to South Bay next :-D and since you never know when it’s gonna start pouring down nonstop for days, we took the sunny opportunity to have dance practice out on the office rooftop today! Talk about vitamin D overload… we headed back out to the field to take photos with our very own Viraj! Was fun tryin’ to convince the ground’s woman to let us take a few pics on their grass pitch. Luckily we managed to charm her with our Blush smiles. Look out for the Blush babes out on a pitch near U! :-D
Enjoy the sun and stay cool!

Brian’s Back!!!!! :-D What surprise to have Mr Grant back in town.. it’s gonna be like the good ol’ days! :-D Burlesque last night was AMAZING! A must see on the big screen. It's made me into an even bigger fan of Aguilera. I think I might do one of her songs for my vocal class later.. humm which one?!?
Also wanna say hello to Nadia, Sarah and Alexia, it was really nice to meet you guys at Taylor Swift(‘s Amazing) concert.. Hope to see you again soon...Enjoy Mister Sunshine whilst he’s out!
Love n Hugs
Ni Hao! Hope ya’ll had a good weekend!
My Rosetta Stone Mandarin course is quite addictive, so managed to get a couple of lessons done this weekend whilst everyone else was home. Also had some nice breaks from “studying” after receiving lovely messages from a fan in the Philippines.. PotPot.. how are ya? Oh ya.. what are Lechon Baboy’s? They sound yummy… :-D Stay beautiful girl.. and thanks for making me smile.. Hope to see u in the Philippines soon!
Also had a really good vocal workshop with Sean at the American Vocal Studio.. Had fun hanging out with the rest of Metro.. which is the vocal group that consists of Sean, Kevin, Eric and Micheal. Just listened to some of their stuff.. and wow.. check them out!!
And to top the day.. an evening with Taylor Swift...cor blimey… she was fantabulous!! Simply Perfection...talk about pure inspiration!
Time to get cracking. Have an amazing week everyone!
Love n Hugs
Baby sis Angeli went home yesterday ☹ miss her not being around...just not quite the same with just the 4 of us here, come back home soon sweetiepie. We miss you!
Finally found some clothes for my new iPhone 4 to keep it spankin new. The computer centre is such a God-send. Never thought I’d say this, but now I’ve got an everyday case to protect it from all the bashing it may or may not get...Better safe then sorry me thinks. Then I also got a hot red leather case for it. Always good to be prepared for a more dressy do.
Today is language day.. I’m helping Ji Hae with English.. kinda fun getting her to read news and magazine articles and then discuss them with her. Celebrities, fashion, food.. It’s great being able to hang out with Ji Hae in this way cos I’m also able to get to know her more too. Talk about fun way to study! So whilst JiHae reads.. I’ve finally installed my “Rosetta Stone” Mandarin Set.. cant wait to improve my Mandarin. It's so hi-tech it’s even got a headset with a specially designed for “speech recognition.” Some part of me still wishes I’d paid more attention in class during high school, though most of the time we just watched really old Chinese movies, not highly motivating… but hey…better late then never! Here we go Rosetta Stone, Wish me luck guys...and keep warm!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! Unlike all the girls out there having to fight over a dozen or more red roses each…I’m a white rose kinda gal... but I still think getting someone a plant is more environmentally friendly...I know...very romantic...guess no one will be racing to be my valentine any time soon!
It’s also Korea’s tvN Mr Park and SooYoung’s last day in HK – hope they come visit us again soon, or better still, I hope Blush will get to visit them in Korea soon!
Next stop Kim Robinson’s Salon! Last time Kim suggested to cut my locks off - I loved my new look...There’s not many people I’d trust my hair with, especially after my haircut disaster 2 years ago. So back at Kim’s I was totally calm and excited to have Sheila Cheung style my hair again...This time I wanted Sheila to cut my grown out bob shorter at the back, keeping it longer at the front.. and when she was done, I couldn’t wait to jump out of my chair, hair all over me, and give her a massive hug! She finally gave me the cut I’d been waiting for the last 2 years! Finally!! My hair disaster story is a long one so I’ll leave it at that...but Thank you again Kim Robinson for your kindness and generosity.
Now the Blush gals and their amazing new looks could head to Janet Jacksons Number Ones concert in style. We even got perfect seats for the evening with a private dancefloor on the side!! No one wants to sit through a Janet Jackson concert from start to finish...and we wouldn’t want to be caught breaking rules by standing and dancing on the chairs. Instead, we had a blast, singing and dancing the night away and no one was caught breaking any silly rules. On that note...for our own Blush concert...We’re gonna get people standing on their seats and dancing the night away...maybe we can even get a big enough venue with a dancefloor for the audience!
Her tribute to Michael was so brave and touching.. I dunno how she did it.. I had lumps in my throat and tears in my eyes just watching. Janet you inspired us.. and at 44.. that’s what I call Longevity!
Night Y’all…Wrap up guys! Chilly nights ahead
Brrr it's cold and grey and I wish it was a holiday.. Er well, not really, cos we're back in the studio finishing off a recording with the tres cool Mister Kelvin Avon! We had a surprise birthday cake break to celebrate Alisha's and Kelvin's birthday! I'm still munching on my piece of cake. I guess cheesecake and singing ain't the best combo, but how could one refuse such delicious cheesecake?!? Plus, Stacey had to lug it all around town. It would be a crime not to enjoy.
Luckily I went to the gym this morning when JiHae, Angeli and Nacho went for their HKIDs. I foresee some more yummy cake tonight as it's my lil brothers birthday today!! Happy Birthday You! Can't wait to have dinner with my family tonight to celebrate! and maybe a chocolate fondant cake to finish! :-) yumm so good.
It's getting super cold again. Perfect weather for a nice cuppa hot chocolate though :) Wrap up warm y'all and have a great weekend!
Love n Hugs
Happy Birthday Alisha!! Great morning welcoming Mr. Park and his assistant Soo Young from Korea back to HK! They'll be following us with a rather big handy cam for the next couple of days. We headed straight for a cab and then a quick dash to to yoga by 8:30 where finally, Ji Hae did her crow pose with matching sound effect, totally hilarious!! Thanks JiHae :-)
Other than JiHae and her crow making my day, Yoga was super good this morning, really felt an improvement, being able to do simple moves with more ease, feels really rewarding after putting the extra effort to push through the stretches, pain and really concentrate. I may be on the road to getting my flexibility back! Can't wait for yoga next week. Now we're back in the studio recording with Kelvin Avon, he's worked with P.Diddy, Nelly, Jay-Z and now Blush. We're seriously lucky.. and he's super nice!! Right gotta go concentrate now
