Angeli started singing at the age of 8 with her older sister and got her first taste of the spotlight in the Second Grade, where she won a singing competition, beating the 3 year reigning champion. Angeli went on to perform in contests such as Star for a Night where she was a finalist and even became a fan favorite in the TV show Pinoy Idol, as a Top 12 finalist.
Angeli is one of five children in her very musical family. She is inspired by her childhood idol, singer Regine Velasquez, also from the Philippines, as well as Alicia Keys because of their voices, music and humble nature. Keys has also inspired Angeli to want to learn to play the piano.
